Upgrade to Firefox 1.5!

In yesterday’s post I mentioned in passing that the Firefox Flicks promotion campaign was due to launch any day, as soon as they put their site up again. Well, it has now launched and you can sign up to get information on how to participate (I suppose they want to know how many are interested).

From site:

Calling All Firefox Fans…

Join us in celebrating the launch of Firefox 1.5 and the amazing people who have made the first year a raging success. Last year at Spread Firefox we launched community marketing into the mainstream with written testimonials.

This year we’re taking it “live” with video testimonials and ads. From the casual user to the creative professional, Firefox Flicks is your opportunity to speak out for Firefox and express yourself in front of a worldwide audience. Read on to learn more about how to you can make a difference.

There are 2 ways you can contribute, with video recorded user testimonials which anone with a camera can do (weekly prizes with a whooping $500 Amazon gift certificate but get them in by Feb 21st), or create a snazzy ad contest (don’t know the prizes yet, but they better be as good as for the Extend Firefox).
Personally, I think it is a great move by Mozilla. Sure, it is only a browser, but those like me who spend a lot of time on the internet, how great that browser is really matters.

So, come and show how much you love Firefox.
